Learn how to grow mushrooms! This class is taught by Christopher Vinci, founder and President of the University of Colorado Mycological Society here in Colorado Springs. He is a frequent workshop teacher for UCCS and regularly collaborates with the Pikes Peak Mycological Society on reaching the public through education and community events. Chris also has a local mushroom cultivation company, which helps individuals grow their own gourmet, medicinal and psilocybin mushrooms at home. We carry some of their products at Rick's Garden Center!

Learn how to grow your own gourmet mushrooms at home in this hands-on “Gourmet Mushroom Bucket” workshop at Rick’s Garden Center. You’ll receive step-by-step instruction as you build your own 2-gallon mushroom bucket using premium substrate and fully prepared grain spawn, while learning the essentials of sustainable mushroom cultivation and proper cultivation techniques for reliable results. Our master cultivation instructor, Christopher, will walk you through the fundamentals of how professional tools like laminar flow hoods support successful mushroom growing. $75 per person, all materials included! This is a perfect gift for that fungi nerd in your life! A healthy lion’s mane bucket can easily produce multiple pounds of gourmet mushrooms that would normally cost far more at retail.
